Question:
Dear Peter and Sue, my question is:
Are things expensive in Mongolia? How much do things cost?
Answer: Some things are more expensive, some not, eg local ice cream 80 cents, can of Coca Cola, NZ$2.00, CD's $30.00 - 40.00, movies 25 cents, loaf of bread from 50 cents to $2.00, local milk 25 cents a litre, imported $3.00 a litre. Electronic gear eg, TVs, cameras, VCR's etc a bit more expensive than NZ, white ware eg washing machines, fridges etc, just less than double NZ prices. Food is about the same depending on what you buy. Imported packeted and canned goods more expensive.
