Question:
Dear Peter and Sue, my question is:Does Mongolia have a particular traditional outfit, or a particular fashion?
Answer: Many people, especially in the cities, wear western clothes, but in the countryside, and with older people in the cities, traditional dress is still common. The outer garment, called a "del", is a calf-length loose tunic. It has long sleeves, a high collar and buttons on the right shoulder. It is tied with a sash, or "bus". Boots, called "gutul" are also very important.

Question:
Dear Peter and Sue, my question is,
do you have fun things for the chidren or do they work all day
Answer: No, the children certainly don't work all day! The lighthouse children go to school in the morning, and they have to help with chores around the lighthouse, but they also have free time. Usually they play cards, or "pehd", or "shagai" (knucklebones). Have a look at some of the stories in the "Lighthouse News" section and you will see details of some of these games, plus photos of the children playing them.
